Potential podcast centered around the role of indigenous food in the history and future of cultures around the world. This first episode is concerned with the kalo (taro) root processing process in Hawai'i. Themes covered include industrialization, commercialization, and the renaissances that have revitalized native traditions and pride more and more since the turn of the century. The hosts interview Stephen, a micro-greens farmer, and chef Gooch, to learn about their connection to poi and their opinions on the future of the food.
